Accessibility
Hallands Konstmuseum (Halland Art Museum)
Both wheelchairs and walkers can be used throughout the museum. The RWC is located on the ground floor.
We have two entrances, both on the ground floor. The main entrance faces Nissan and Norre Katts park and there is also an entrance on Tollsgatan. There are three parking spaces on Tollinkatu for people with reduced mobility. The museum has two elevators, one in the old building and one in the new building. There are handrails on the floor and our signs have Braille and relief text.
On the Halland Art Museum website there is a tool that helps people with different types of disabilities to plan their visit. The tool shows all spaces in the museum from an accessibility perspective. To access the tool, click on the black box at the bottom right of the browser.
Audio-described screenings
We also offer guided tours with audio description. Find out more and book a viewing.
Friluftsmuseet Hallandsgården (Hallandsgården Open Air Museum)
The outdoor café is wheelchair accessible. RWC is available on site. All houses have signs posted outside the entrances.
Please note that the site is on a slope and the buildings are located on grassy areas, which can make it difficult for a wheelchair user or visually impaired person to get around without an escort. The doorways to the heritage buildings are of period dimensions and not always wide enough for prams and wheelchairs.
